All manufacturing takes place in our fully integrated 15,000 square foot manufacturing plant, located in Rochester, NY.


The company consists of approximately 40 employees, nine of whom make up the engineering team.


Approvals and Certificates:

  • G-S Plastic Optics is a UL-recognized molder in the QMMY2 fabricated parts program. Recognition is based on material traceability, UL assigned designation B-1842.
  • ISO compliant Quality System
  • ITAR registered and compliant with all export regulations

  • Injection molding presses ranging in size from 20 to 200 tons
  • Metrology lab complete with:
    • Zygo interferometer
    • Contact profilometer
    • OGP Smartscope
    • Mitutoyo CMM
  • Diamond turning facility
    • Precitech Nanoform 200
  • Thin film coating facility
    • VPT box coater
    • Ion beam, e-beam and resistance source
    • Perkin-Elmer Lambda 10 and Lambda 650 spectrophotometers, custom designed reflectometer.
  • CNC manufacturing center -- we can profile sheet polymers into precision shapes for use as optical windows
