Applications Engineer
G-S Plastic Optics is seeking a Senior Applications Engineer to communicate with prospective and existing clients, understand their product requirements, and develop technical and business strategies to support their needs for high-performance injection-molded optical elements. The Senior Applications Engineer will work closely with the company’s experienced operations and engineering team-members to develop state-of-the-art yet cost-effective manufacturing solutions for the biomedical, photonics, consumer, military, and LED lighting marketplaces. The Sr. Applications Engineer will provide leadership through-out the sales process and later assist the manufacturing operations team to successfully transition each new program to production.

The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in Mechanical, Ceramic, Optical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent and a minimum of five years experience in the plastics industry. Sales or Product Management experience is desirable.

G-S Plastic Optics is one of a few companies in the world to specialize in the custom design and manufacture of precision polymer optics for use in imaging, scanning, illumination and detection applications worldwide.
